Synthesis of production process

Company BBA collects horns and hooves deriving from healthy animals slaughtered in the main authorized Brazilian abattoirs.

Horns and hooves are introduced in a rotating dryer machine (12 m length and 1,50 m diameter) and dried at a temperature of 140 C°.

An appropriate rotating grill, equipped with suitable magnet and brushes, cleans and clears horns and hooves from all extraneous matter; the obtained product is now 100% pure.

After a first grinding in a knife mill the product is submitted to a second milling and sifted into 6 different sizes.

Horn and hoof is available in different packages: bags of 10, 25, 50, big bags of 525 kg or bulky in 20’ open top or 40’ containers.
